Simple Cosplay For Beginners: (Male) Anime Edition ==== Top Pix Cosplay

The following are examples of some great male cosplay, All of which are picture examples from the chart displayed in the previous post. I tried my best to avoid crossplayers because a lot of girls try to coplay guys and thats totally fine you can use this as a refference too girls but because of techniques such as binding your chest and such it will be harder to do. I picked out a lot of good cosplays that range from deviantart to other sources. I will try to name all of the people from the pictures i get, as a credit. Enjoy!
Spitfire
Here, as done by Hexlord, spitfire is portrayed. If you note this is a very simplisitc costume in terms of basic materials, you just need to fine tune the details like the patches on the arm and colorings and stuff. I thought this was a really good cosplay because he does look a lot like spitfire and he`s more masculine which is a quality spitfire has.
Kaname Kuran
I just had to include this. Kaname Kurran as done by Anheruvika. I absolutely love this version of Kaname, it looks so good. Why? Because he realistically looks very close and similar to Kaname Kuran, he uses roses well and portrays himself as a mystery just like Kanme. So Good Job Anheruvika!!!
L Lawliet
This guy, Balmung, gets 10 points.  His portrayal of L Lawliet, fine tunes the detail of his hair, recreated here using wax i believe, and the eyeliner under the eyes to emphasize the dark circles or black stuff under the eyes that L has. This is simple enough to do and the most recognized simplistic characters ever known to cosplay. All you need is a white shirt, jeans eyeliner under your eyes (if you don't mind wearing makeup) and hair wax to style your hair a la L Lawliet.
Sanji
Here Sanji from One Piece is portrayed by Leox90 who gets into the suit sanji has. Sanji is a smoker so he is portrayed smoking here. While i do not incourage smoking, it's pretty neat because he looks and acts like Sanji, which is a part of cosplay.
Senri Shiki
Not many guys actually cosplay Vampaya naito characters but this guy did, Zeromax. I really like this cosplay, also because shiki has very noticeably blue eyes, and so does the guy who's cosplaying him. Unfortunately he gets posessed by his Uncle Rido, but its all good.
This is the simplest best sasuke Uchiha i have EVER seen EVER, its done by Eyes On Me from deviantart and its fabulous i'm at a loss for words.
Mello
I like this alternate version of Mell by Tea is for Tom. Really Good.
ANd that concludes the Gallery.
LOOK FORWARD TO DOING MORE

Simple Cosplay for Beginners (Female): Anime Edition ==== Top Pix Cosplay

Here are some of the simple cosplay characters as listed in my previous post. Here are my top picks from famous cosplayers , Such as Quing, seen bellow who cosplays as Yoko Littner in this picture. It's a simple cosplay to make / do, however if your hair is not naturally red like that it may require for you to buy a wig. Another note is to typically only cosplay Yoko if you are thin, as her body typing is typically thin and busty.

Another example of a simple anime cosplay is done here by Deviant Artist Domadraghi or Vera, who does a pretty accurate rendition of may. May/Haruka is a general character that can be good for everyone. However, one should be advised, that if you look like an older adult it would be better to play someone else, as may is ten years old. Haruka/May
Below is a brilliantly classic example of Misa Amane from death note, done by Famous Cosplayer and Inspiration to many, Kipi. She does an excellent job on the detail of the costume, although you could do just as much of a great job using pieces from the thrift store and making things and altering them.
Misa Amane
Another goth like character to cosplay is Nana Osaki, done here by Deviant artist hellozombie. Nana was actually the first character i cosplayed and i really liked cosplaying her because i really liked the fishnets and the skirt and the way her look went together. Nana is good for pretty much anyone to do. you don't have to look any way, because she's very versatile.
Nana Osaki
Here is another example of a simple cosplay from Italian cosplayer Giorgia Vecchini as Yuuki Talho from Eureka 7.
Talho Yuuki
Below is an example of the cosplay from ~maxxy3 of Deviant Art, as Pan from dragon ball gt , it's an easy costume for anyone who's short and has dark hair. simple to pull off :).
Pan
Below is an example of  Nico Robin, which is another easy cosplay especially, and this is important for someone who is reasonably thin, as in not a good choice if you have a large midriff or are uncomfortable showing off your midriff (a.k.a tummy). Not sure who this cosplayer is, if you know let me know and i shall include her name in the description.
Nico Robin
Finally, the last example is an example of  Nami Cosplay done by another unknown cosplayer, but she realistically looks a lot like the actual Nami we know and love/hate whichever emotion you really feel about her.  Anyways, here she is...

Hope you enjoyed these,

Cosplay for Beginners

When you hear cosplay for beginners, you sometimes think of  Closet playing, which essentially means grabbing things out of your closet that looks like an anime character you're trying to play. Closet playing is usually frowned upon in the cosplay world, because let's face it, you didn't really do much work on your costume you just put it together and then basically just went like that to one of the Many Conventions. The trick to cosplaying is that you can pick one or two items from your closet, but only if they match, and usually if a cosplayer picks an item from their closet, they will alter it to better fit their character. Your best bet is to stay as simple as you can while sticking to your character. At my first con, I made fingerless gloves and a wrist band and i went as Nana Osaki. It was great because i portrayed her very well, but it was hard to tell who i was because i wasn't detailed enough. so pay attention to detail and get to doing what you love. The key to cosplaying is to have fun making your costume and enjoy the japanese culture that we know and love.
